@foxtherouge and I were discussing via PM about rear disc brake options. The rear hardware from any 1988-2001 Camry or ES will bolt to the Celica except e-brake cables and of course the rotors are 5 bolt. But otherwise all the hardware is compatible. The unknown is if the 5-bolt rotor can be...

What did you do to your gen3/gen4 Camry today?

Does motor oil really go bad over time? This is something I wonder about since I have so many cars and they tend to sit more than driven.

    Jack Stand Warning

lol hold up a bicycle. I have some very old (think 1972) Toyota scissor jacks still use them they work fine. No I don't go under the car with only them supporting the car but I think it proves if you make a quality tool it should last indefinitely. But this jack is basically worn out from the...

    I went full stupid

I don't usually make stupid mistakes like this especially when I know something is really hard to find a replacement for. Like I said I went full stupid.

My understanding is the border is closed. I'll send you a PM in a few minutes. ....oh I did try Row52 got two replies they both said they are "not going to the yard anytime soon" so wondering why they list themselves are part pullers.

I need 2nd gen which the '88 is. I'm in Calgary so relatively close to you, well in respect to the size of North America.

    I went full stupid

Was straightening the rear wipe arm on the wagon wasn't even that bent just a bit and it bugged me. Well, the vice grips snapped open not much else to say. Will be very hard to find a replacement panel if I can find one at all. I'm a moron. :(

When I was swapping the clutch (had engine out) on my '90 V6 had the engine on the stand wanted to rotate more sideways. BIG mistake the engine is top heavy which in retrospect, duh. The bar I was holding started to bend I almost dropped the engine which of course could have been on me. Yes...

The Harbor Freight Earthquake is a beast of an impact but since it is cordless the thing is expensive. Smart on keeping the engine lift as a backup.

This happened to me I tried several methods none worked eventually I wedged a piece of wood between the block and crank (was removing the oil pan anyway) a pipe/breaker bar did the trick. Be very careful if you try this with the engine on the stand this is a good way to have the stand tip over...

Been there. I see and I raise... What is your source for mounts? I used one from a Celica All-Trac way beefier.

One thing I really don't like doing is cleaning up a cruddy transmission takes hours to get it to my standards.

    Sultan The V6

I share your frustration. I don't mind what's out there but most keep dying on me about the only ones that haven't are those ones with the silicone blob around them. There is one other exception I'm running some Philips Xtreme 1157's they are are legit.

I've had so many LEDs die on me. Yea they are all cheap but that's what is out there for the most part especially T5 ant T10 LEDs. Had good luck with my headlights though none of them have failed.

I did the same on all of gen2's no more light out warning bulb. What's funny is LEDs have turned out to be less reliable than the ancient filament bulbs.
